When I was on a journey in Germany I have seen a wonderful rainbow. I haven't had my slr with me, so there was no possiblity to use a wide angel lens. The only chance I had was shooting as much pictures as possible and combine them later on. Here the result:
Last week I had a good trip to Berlin. Once airborne the woman near me started with her make up. It took her 30 to 45 minutes till she was ready. Her friend always switched on his mobile phone just to have a look on the watch. Once we were save back to the ground I was waiting in the q. The couple was allready at the customes, they left the plane like a Porsche, but it seems like that they had a serious problem as a second police officer came and took them with him.
Ok. I made many fotos and videos in Berlin but as I still on holidays this material will follow soon. Hey, that's a promiss! Wait for the real cool breakdancers and skateboard artists video!
2 days ago I have been travelling to Howth. I drove over the M50 (empty) toward M1 roudabound. Everything was ok till that point. From now the road started getting smaller and smaller and... But I managed to get to the top of Howth. I had my camera with my. The files are transfered yet but I haven't had the time to cut a short clip together. Anyway here are som pictures.
The camera is nice once you shot without any digital zoom usage but withit it is nearly impossible to get some good clips without a colour salad. For taking photographies it is not good as well. So I tried to get to the limit with it and I did it. The macro function is very nice
After a long cold Irish winter the spring is finally here, and so is our want to travel. So we decided to start right away, rented a car, packed our bags and drove up to Northern Ireland. It really takes not much more than an hour to reach North Ireland from Dublin - There’s a new motorway, and unlike some other motorways in Ireland, it's not too crowded. So we got easily up to UK. There, of course we had our 'adventures' and took a few wrong turns, but hey, that's the way to see more of the countryside, right?
Finally we got up to Larne, a city on the Irish Sea; nothing special here; and not to recommend as a place to stop for lunch if you're a Vegetarian (we had chips, how cool). From Larne we took the Coastal Route and that was plain glorious. All these little villages directly at the sea, and the cliffs! Simply beautiful. Such scenery reminds me of the good on this island.
The first time in Paris was somehow very exciting. I traveld with Easyjet for the first time. Actually I planed a round trip from Berlin to Paris, from Paris to London, from London to Bern, and from Bern back to Berlin. My third stay was planed in France with a friend of mine. She was studying in Berlin and offered me to stay. One week before the journey they did not reply on anything and so I had to cancel all the other travels. It doesn't get me off my plans to see Paris. It was the most lovely time I every had in my life. This city is my favourite! Culture, cinemas, food, people, everythings brilliant.
Since last week we are back from Paris, we have had a beautiful week in a cheap and nice hotel in the south/east of Paris in St Germain. From there you can get to Notre Dame within 5 minutes. There are many very good restaurants around. The one I really loved provided us with an excellent dish of couscous and wine and is calle "Le Bievre". The museums are great, try Musée Picasso; the churches are beautiful, try Sainte Chapelle. There is so many to see an love. Don’t forget the eifel tower. And whenever you want to eat something buy a baguette.
Last weekend we have been in Dun Laoghaire, one of the nicest ports I have seen in Ireland. Potter around the pier and let the sun shine on your face. The city centre is very small but also very nice. Try one of the cafes or restaurants. Eat some vegetarian food and perhaps have some delicious tea with a deep apple pie. It was one of the weekends were I can totaly recover from work.
Travelling from Dublin to Cork by bus is a very easy thing. Just book your ride with AirCoach. They drive you to Cork within 4 hours. The buses are really comfortable, even if you are tall. They stop once in the middle of nowhere for a 10 minute break, enough time to get yourself to the toilet and also to the shop to buy some chocolate. But as a word of warning: you should expect delays during the ride‑ the four hours journey time on paper does tend to be closer to 4 hours 30 minutes in reality.
When you arrive at Cork you will like the lovely sight at the river Lee and the several different bridges crossing it. Perhaps you have booked an room at a B&B in advance? If not than it is time to get a suitable accommodation. We will advise you to book in advance as Cork is a popular city especially in the summer. The Ardarahouse house is a very nice place to stay, affordable and peaceful.
Finland is my favourite country. It is rich in nature. It's infrastructure is well bild (not like in Ireland). The people are friendly. I'd enjoyed every journey to Finland. Once I got on the train to Rovaniemi, where St. Claus, lives, and had a good day there. What should I say? Check the fotos!
When I came back from Vienna and even back to Berlin we had a small journey to Hamburg. There are so many things to see and do and for tourist reasons we had a small tourist bus tour. Went to the harbour later on and had some lunch. The Elbtunnel is pretty cool as well as "die alte Speicherstadt". We actually went there and visited one of the greatest permanent train miniature exhibition.
